Family Protection Handgun Experience
Are you new to handguns … or do you have members of your family you’re wanting to learn more about handguns - and how to handle them safely and well?
Welcome to Black Forest’s new Family Protection Handgun Experience, where you and your family will come away with a wealth of knowledge and confidence to help each of you become comfortable and confident with handguns.
In this experience, you’ll learn safe gun-handling skills based on simple rules that make accidents almost entirely avoidable. We’ll start from the very beginning, teaching you the fundamentals of handgun use while answering all your questions along the way.
Our main objective is to help you achieve comfort with and around handguns, and have fun doing it.
​In Black Forest’s safe, family-friendly, and educational environment, you’ll also have an opportunity to examine, shoot, and objectively compare some of the most popular personal protection handguns. And while you’re trying out the different guns, we’ll be right there to help you think through the many different elements which impact your decision about which gun is best for you.
Is the Ammo included?
Yes! We provide you with all the ammo you’ll need during your time at Black Forest. In addition, we provide you with the protection you’ll need for your eyes and ears.

Enjoy a Delicious Homemade Lunch!

It’s a perfect break in the middle of the day to sit around the table, enjoy a great meal, and talk about your experiences at the range. Our much-loved lunches (including vegan options) are prepared fresh for you to enjoy. (Plus, there will be drinks and snacks available throughout the day!)

​What Time and How Long?

While these events generally begin at 9:00am and end at 2:00pm, we will work with you to find a day and time that’s convenient for you.

One, All-Inclusive Cost

The introductory, all-inclusive cost for this event (including lunch) is just $89 per person.
