The Experience

Customized Courses that Evolve, Surprise, and Teach

The shooting courses developed at Black Forest are customized for each group of shooters, based on their experience and objectives.  Whether it’s for those with less experience who simply want to have a great time, or for highly experienced shooters who want to refine their existing skills, the courses are set up to maximize the value, learning, and fun each shooter has during their experience. Some of the variable elements designed into the courses include “run-and-gun”, shooting while elevated, prone (lying on the ground), from behind obstacles (big and small), while climbing and crawling through elements, shooting while being distracted, and more!  

 

Analyzing Each Evolution

For those who are working to improve their skills (even those who are just learning to shoot!), an analysis of each evolution can be provided.  Whether it’s a small, simple adjustment or a bigger, critical issue, you’ll receive feedback that will help you become a better, more comfortable shooter.  

 

Capturing all the Action on Video

Black Forest shooting courses are equipped with video cameras (including helmet cams) which allow you and your instructor to carefully review your performance. It’s an unmatched method for leveraging the most out of your shooting experience.  Download the DJI app and take some of your footage home with you!

Skill level

All Experiences are customized to fit a range of different abilities and experience.  This allows us to make the Experience personalized to each group, which increases the value … and the fun!  Attendees should already have a basic understanding of marksmanship and should be comfortable handling firearms.

 

One of the great things about the Experience is that it will help you develop (or begin developing) several important skills such as:

 

• movement with a firearm

• various shooting positions

• weapons transitions

• quick target identification

• and many other critical, practical skills.

More advanced shooters will be challenged by customized experiences that include complex evolutions utilizing multiple elements to induce stress and push the limit of their ability.

Fitness

During the Experience, you will be maneuvering through different types of terrain at a fast pace, while working through various shooting scenarios.  Very exciting stuff!  While being in ‘great shape’ or ‘super fit’ is by no means required, it’s important that you are in good health and don’t have any limitations that would prevent you from enjoying the Experience to the fullest.  Be sure to watch the short video on the homepage to get a good idea of what the Experience looks like in action!

Equipment

Each shooter is issued a helmet, with integrated hearing protection and radio, eye protection, a chest rig to carry their ammunition, and a pistol holster. Use of Black Forest rifles and pistols is included in the cost of the experience. If you already have equipment and firearms, we encourage you to bring and utilize what you have. Due to the nature and range of the targets, only handgun calibers are permitted.

Group Size

The experience is designed to accommodate four shooters. This maximizes the amount of time spent learning and keeps downtime to a minimum.

$159 (Introductory Price)

Includes lunch, use of Black Forest firearms and equipment, and ammo.
